Product Description
A solid-mounted transmission needs rigid support at the front as well as the rear. EMPI 00-9528-0 replaces the rubber front mount with a solid steel bracket, limiting movement at that mounting point for performance and competition use.
This is the early two-bolt front mount with a zinc-plated finish. The package includes one front bracket, two bolts, two flat washers and two nuts. Rear mounts are not included.
Choose the Correct Mount
Compatible with Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia, 1961-1972, using the early two-bolt front transmission mount. Check the front mounting pattern on your transmission and chassis before ordering, especially if either has been changed. This bracket is not the later three-bolt style.
Installation Note
Use only with a fully solid-mounted transmission. Do not combine this solid front mount with rubber rear cradle mounts; the mismatch can damage the transmission nose cone.
