Welcome back to the CSC Garage! In this episode, we’ll guide you through the process of removing the body panels from your ES5 electric scooter. Don’t worry—it’s easier than you might think, and you’ll only need a few simple hand tools.

Step 1: Remove the Grab Rails

1. Use a 12 mm socket to remove the grab rails.
2. Next, remove the fasteners from the top using a 5 mm and an 8 mm socket.

Step 2: Access the Front Panel

1. Remove the front panel to gain access to the inner components.
2. Use a 5 mm Allen wrench to remove the fasteners (there are four of them).

Step 3: Focus on Inside Fasteners

1. Pay attention to the inside fasteners.
2. Use the 5 mm Allen wrench to remove them.

Step 4: Remove Additional Fasteners

1. Remove two more fasteners using an 8 mm socket.
2. Note the metal bracket—the teeth face forward and point downwards.

Step 5: Remove the Side Panels

1. Gently pry out the little front piece.
2. Continue using the 5 mm Allen wrench to remove the side panel fasteners.
3. Repeat the process for both sides.

Step 6: Remove Passenger Pegs and Lid

1. Use a 6 mm Allen wrench to remove the passenger pegs on each side.
2. Remove the lid from the battery storage compartment.

Step 7: Unplug the Taillight

1. Carefully unplug the taillight.
2. Remove two additional bolts to take off the final piece of plastic.
