1200cc / 40HP Push Rod Tube Set - 8 Pieces

Replacement steel push rod tubes designed for Volkswagen-style 1200cc / 40HP air-cooled engines. This set includes 8 tubes, enough to service one complete 4-cylinder engine, and is suitable for engine rebuilds, repairs, and new engine assemblies.

These tubes are commonly used with early Type 1 Beetle/Bug and Karmann Ghia engines, Type 2 Transporter/Bus applications, and dune buggies, sand rails, and other custom vehicles using the 1200cc / 40HP engine. Because many vintage Volkswagen and dune buggy engines have been replaced, rebuilt, or swapped over the years, verify the engine configuration rather than relying only on the vehicle year.

The pushrods carry lubrication toward the rocker assembly, while the push rod tubes enclose the pushrods and provide a path for oil to return from the cylinder head area toward the crankcase.
